Safer streets, a big screen, and a goodbye
October was a full month. We covered a conference from start to finish, put a commercial in front of a Grizzlies crowd, said goodbye to a terrific intern, and spent a lot of time thinking about how people in Memphis get around on foot and by bike. Here's a look at what we've been up to.
DelTech Conference Coverage
We were the video team for DelTech 2026. Each day of the conference, we cut a short recap for social so attendees, and the people following along from home, could see what happened while it was still fresh. On the last day, we delivered a full recap that played at the closing session.
Daily recaps mean shooting and editing on the same clock. It's fast, focused work, and we were glad to be trusted with it.
National Pedestrian Safety Month
October is National Pedestrian Safety Month, and two of our projects this month are about the same thing: making Memphis streets safer for the people walking and riding on them.
Honoring Williams Walk. We produced an awareness piece honoring Williams Walk, a local nonprofit that’s working to increase drivers education access and raise awareness about pedestrian safety. That work also opened the door to something bigger. We're now in production on a documentary about pedestrian safety, and we'll share more as it comes together.
The Idlewild Bike Bus. A bike bus is a group of kids and grown-ups riding to school together on a set route, picking up riders along the way. The Idlewild Bike Bus is one of those simple ideas that makes a neighborhood feel different on a weekday morning, and we were glad to capture it.
The Founder-First Content Engine in Action
In August we told you about our new offering for founder-led businesses. This fall we put it to work with Culture Shift Advisors, led by Tony and Jen Wiseman. One shoot day gave them three months of content, built around the two people their clients already trust.
If you lead a business and know you should be showing up with video more often, this is built for you.
Mid-South Food Bank at the Grizzlies Game
We produced a 60-second commercial for Mid-South Food Bank that ran at the Memphis Grizzlies home opener. The turnaround was quick, and the spot will keep working long after game night: the Food Bank will continue to use it for fundraising and awareness.
Sixty seconds is not much time to tell a story about hunger in our community. We're proud of what fit inside it.
Thank You, Tyler
For six weeks, Tyler Strickland worked alongside us as an intern through the Career Experience Program of The Collective Blueprint. He learned to shoot and edit, conduct interviews, and manage a project from start to finish. He came with us on shoots for Mid-South Food Bank and Regional One Health, the hospital where he was born.
It was a joy to have him on the team, and I can't say enough good things about the program. If your business has room for an intern, I'd encourage you to look into it. You'll get real help, and a young person gets real experience in a field they're curious about.
Lauren's Speaking and Workshops
October was a busy month! I had the chance to speak to deliver my three keynotes to three different audiences:
Practical tools to marketing leaders at the North Iowa Marketing Summit in “Telling Your Untold Story”
Challenged Iowa Association of Chambers of Commerce leaders to ask more questions about what their teams and members need in “Ask Like A Leader”
Inspired attendees to check their expertise-driven blind spots by asking questions and growing connections at her opening keynote for the Futura Innovation Conference in Limerick, IE in “The Paradox of Expertise”
Looking for an opening keynote or workshop that's inspiring, practical, and rooted in real curiosity?
