Summer is here, and so is the heat!

Here's a look at what we've been up to at Forever Ready.

Celebrating 40 Years of the National Veterans Golden Age Games

This week we're in Tampa, FL covering the 40th Golden Age Games alongside the team at Veteran's Affairs.

1,500 veterans are competing in sports across the city. Last year the event was hosted in Memphis and we are back to provide coverage and a recap for this year's event.  You can watch the video we created to kickoff the week below!

Welcome Brandon!

In May, we welcomed Brandon Ellis-Lau to our team as Video Producer.

Brandon brings over 10 years of television, film, and video production experience to the team. From his days at WMC Action News 5 (where he climbed the ranks from Master Control Operator to Chief Photojournalist) to earning his film degree from the University of Memphis, his passion for visual storytelling is unmatched.

Tony Loyd Doc-Speaker Reel

We've spend the last couple of months working with speaker, author and coach, Tony Loyd, capturing his journey from cancer to running the Cape Town Marathon.

We produced a story that shares his life experience alongside his cancer survivor journey (and marathon run) to help him capture new speaking engagements. We created what I have decided to call a “Doc-Speaker Reel.” Watch and learn how to be unshakable in a world that's unstable. Watch the video above.

Cancer Survivor's Month at Regional One Health

This Cancer Survivors Month, we had the privilege of helping share the stories of two survivors whose journeys reflect resilience, courage, and hope. Watch the story above.

Page Robbins Gala

Our friends at Page Robbins Adult Daycare had a record breaking fundraising event at their Enchanted Garden Gala in June.  Despite a power outage during the beginning of the event, their staff and supporters rallied in time to watch this year's story. And give in a BIG way! You can watch the inspiring story above.

Industry Insights: Annual Report Videos

Here's something worth sitting with as we head into summer.

Most nonprofits produce an annual report every year. And most of those reports contain everything a donor needs to understand the organization's impact—the numbers, the program updates, the financials, the acknowledgments.

And yet, something gets lost between the data and the donor. A long document is a deep dive for the folks who are serious about your impact. But not all supporters are in that moment when the report lands in their inbox (or mailbox). A short video meets them where they actually are and invites them into a deeper dive of the report.

We're launching our Annual Report Video Package—a 1:30–2:00 minute impact video built to give your year-end communication a stronger opening. We'll help you shape a message that captures a leader's welcome, your year's defining accomplishments, the people and programs who made it happen, and a preview of what's ahead—produced in-studio and optimized for every channel where your audience is actually paying attention. Here's an example video.

We're booking July, August, and September shoots now.

If your annual report has always deserved a bigger audience than it gets, this is the year to change that.
